Overview
Iran has been an active participant of RoboCup events since 1998. Since 2003 the number and quality of Iranian teams have increased
considerably. Consequently, formation of Iranian National Committee seemed to
be necessary.
After the first successful IranOpen competitions, Iranian robocuppers were determined to form the
Iranian National Committee in order to promote RoboCup within Iran.
The basic objectives of this committee are concisely mentioned hereunder:
Introduce RoboCup to the Iranian society
Encourage and help the so called newbies
Collect and manage research documents of all interested Iranian teams
Motivate schools to get involved in RoboCup Junior leagues
Introduce scientific values of RoboCup rather than just the competitions
